Do I need an intra oral scanner for clear aligners?

No. We can make clear aligners from alginate or PVS impressions. An intra oral scanner is not required.

Do I need to place composite attachments?

As an orthodontist, it is your decision to place attachments where you believe best.

If you wish, our technicians are able to use a fresh impression to place attachments on teeth as instructed, and create a template tray for you to place composite resin inside and cure.

After an impression of the teeth with attachments is taken, we can then move the teeth with much more ease, faster, and with a more accurate result.

What is WeAlign?

Wealign treatment is a discreet, near invisible method of straightening teeth. Using 3D Computer Generated Imaging, Wealign shows you your complete treatment plan based on your or your Orthodontist's prescription, from the initial position of your teeth towards the final position. A series of clear aligners are then created to move your teeth one by one.

Each aligner is worn for two weeks before being replaced by the next in the series, gradually moving towards the projected final position. The treatment time depends on your specific needs and will be decided by your Orthodontist.

How does WeAlign work?

Wealign aligners move theeth through a series of controlled movements. Unlike traditional braces, Wealign treatment not only controls the amount of movement that each aligners delivers, but also the timing of the movement. So, at each stage, only certain teeth can move, following the Wealign treatment plan for that particular stage. This results in effecient force delivery.

How much does WeAlign cost?

Treatment depends on the complexity of your teeth straightening issue and your course of treatment. As a general rule the cost for adults is comparible to fixed braces and is typically between £1600 & £2800.

How long does treatment take?

Time taken depends on the complexity of the treatment and is generally comparable to that of traditional braces. During your consultation, your Provider can give you more detailed information.

What are the benefits of WeAlign?

WeAlign aligners are nearly invisble and typically hardly anyone notices that you're wearing them.

Because WeAlign aligners are removable, you can eat and drink what you want during treatment by simply removing the aligners.

How do I get started with WeAlign?

Make an appointment with your Orthodontist or Surgeon. During this appointment, the surgeon with take an impression or scan of your teeth.

Where is WeAlign treatment available?

As of now, WeAlign treatment is available in the UK only

Is WeAlign treatment painful?

Some patients may experience temporary, minor discomfort for a few days when they insert a new aligner at the beginiing of each new stage of treatment. This is normal and is typically described as a feeling of pressure it's a sign that the aligners are working and it usually goes away after 24-48 hours.

Once WeAlign treatment is complete is a retainer necessary?

Wearing a retainer after any orthodontic treatment is an important step, because it keeps teeth stable in their new positions. With all WeAlign cases, we provide a final retainer.

Does the procedure work on overbites?

A WeAlign provider can use WeAlign to treat overbites in the vast majority of adults and adolescents. Consult a WeAlign provider to find out whether WeAlign is suitable for you.

What are Aligners made of and what do they look like?

The virtually invisable aligners are made of strong medical grade thermoplastic material, uniquely developed for the WeALign system. The aligners are custom-made for you and fit comfortably over your teeth.
